Tato diplomová práce přibližuje problematiku genderové rovnosti a zasazuje ji do širšího kontextu mezinárodních vztahů a mezinárodní bezpečnosti. Cílem diplomové práce jezhodnotit možný dopad vyšší reprezentace žen v rozhodovacích pozicích na mezinárodní bezpečnost, zvláštní pozornost je přitom věnována specifické bezpečnostní situaci žen. Diplomová práce se zaobírá základními teoretickými východisky feministického diskurzu v teoriích mezinárodních vztahů a v otázkách bezpečnosti, obsahem poslední kapitoly je potom případová studie sankčního režimu uvaleného Radou bezpečnosti OSN proti Iráku jako důsledek rozpoutání první války v Zálivu. This diploma thesis explores the topic of gender equality and places it into context of international relations and international security. The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate potential impacts of higher representation of women in decision-making on international security, with particular attention being given to the specific security situation of women. The diploma thesis treats the theoretical framework of feminist discourse in international relations and international security, with the last chapter presenting a case study of the sanction regime imposed against Iraq by the UN Security Council following the Gulf War.
