Příspěvek se zaměřuje na definice a užívání dvou zdánlivě synonymních termínů: názvotvorba a propriální slovotvorba. Tyto termíny se odlišují ve dvou hlavních aspektech: (1) Zatímco předmětem propriální slovotvorby je morfematická struktura jména, termín názvotvorba, odrážející specifické vlastnosti proprií a jejich vznik při propriálně pojmenovacím aktu, zahrnuje rovněž jejich motivaci. (2) Předmětem názvotvorby je celková struktura propria, zatímco propriální slovotvorba analyzuje pouze vnitřní strukturu jednotlivé lexikální jednotky, která je součástí jména. Tento rozdíl je patrný především u anoikonym (pomístních jmen) s typickou víceslovnou strukturou. Oba tyto přístupy jsou porovnávány a pozornost je věnována jejich využívání a relevanci. The article is focused on the definitions and use of two seemingly synonymous terms: názvotvorba "name-formation" and propriální slovotvorba "proprial word-formation". These terms differ in two major aspects: (1) While the subject of the proprial word-formation is the morphemic structure of the name, the term name-formation, reflecting the specific traits of proper names and their rise by the naming act, includes also its motivation. (2) The subject of the name-formation is the overall structure of a proper name, whereas the proprial word-formation analyses only the internal structure of the individual lexical unit forming a part of a name. This distinction is noticeable especially in anoikonyms (minor place names) with a typical multiple-word structure. Both of these approaches are compared and their use and relevance are discussed.
