Abstract: The work deals with metrological terms in Old Church Slavonic languages, especially with names of volume measurements. Most of these old cultural terms borrowed from Greek (chinik7, litra, měra) or through Greek from Aramaic (sat7), Sumerian (kor6) and Old Persian (artava). It is evident, that the names of volume measurements are an important part of human culture.
