Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komparativní analýzou tří světových center a je rozčleněna do tří kapitol. První část se věnuje konkurenceschopnosti, jejímu pojmu, faktorům a měřením. Následně se zaměřuje na hospodářskou politiku, kde jsou vysvětlovány její základní pojetí, hlavní směry a její vztah ke konkurenceschopnosti. Druhá část analyzuje tři světová centra na základě zvolených ukazatelů. Z této kapitoly je pak odvozena jejich SWOT analýza. Třetí kapitola je zacílena na perspektivy hospodářského vývoje Evropské unie a jejích členských států. Výsledkem práce je doporučení pro jednotlivé ekonomiky, a to zejména EU. This thesis concerns with the comparative analysis of three world centres and is divided into three chapters. The first part deals with competitiveness, its concept, determinants and measurement. Then it focuses on economic policy, where are explained the basic concepts, main directions and its relation to competitiveness. The second part analyzes three world centres on the basis of selected indicators. Furthermore, it is derived their SWOT analysis from this chapter. The third chapter is aimed at the economic prospects of the European Union and its Member States. The result of thesis is a recommendation for individual economies, notably the EU.
