Práce je zaměřena na porovnání nejčastěji využívaných přístupů k prezentování elektronického obsahu uzpůsobených pro nové kategorie zařízení, jako jsou chytré telefony či tablety za účelem umožnění efektivnějšího rozhodování o strategiích týkajících se prezentace obsahu moderními elektronickými kanály. Práce popisuje historická východiska ústící v nové potřeby v oblasti prezentace obsahu, porovnává responsivní webdesign, tradiční web a mobilní aplikace. Dále klade důraz na podrobnou analýzu aspektů responsivního designu obsahující technickou podstatu responsivního designu, ekonomické aspekty, potřeby přizpůsobení procesů spojených s vývojem webových stránek a implementaci v portálovém řešení Liferay. Vlastní příspěvek k řešenému tématu představuje praktická demonstrace implementace responsivního designu na existující, tradičně navrhnutou, webovou stránku, konkrétně domovskou stránku ČSOB.cz. Zároveň jsou nastíněna základní kritéria, která je potřebné zvážit při rozhodování se o adopci responsivního webdesignu. The thesis compares the most frequently used approaches to presenting electronic content in a way that is optimized for new device classes, namely smartphones and tablets, in order to enable a more effective decision-making process concerning content strategies accenting modern electronic channels. The thesis describes the historic context resulting in new needs in the area of content presentation. It compares the responsive design approach to traditional web design and mobile applications. The focus is put on detailed analysis of various responsive design aspects including the technical basis for responsive web design, economical aspects, the needs of tailoring the design process to fit with responsive web design and implementation in portal solutions, among others. The original part of the thesis contains a practical demonstration of responsive design implementation on top of an existing traditionally designed web property, namely the ČSOB.cz homepage. Basic criteria to consider when deciding about responsive web design adoption are also included.
