Cílem této bakalářské práce je provozní analýza vybraného gastronomického zařízení ve Velké Británii, nacházející se v centru města Folkestone na jihovýchodním pobřeží. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř systematických celků. První se týká postavení stravovacích služeb v cestovním ruchu, přibližující jejich charakteristiku, význam, formy a funkce, podmínky provozu gastronomických zařízení, jejich klasifikace a typologie. Další kapitolu tvoří charakteristika lokality vybrané gastronomické provozovny a postavení této oblasti v cestovním ruchu. Daná kapitola charakterizuje cestovní ruch v Británii a následně popisuje oblast Kentu a Folkestone. Hlavní kapitolou je kapitola analyzující vybrané gastronomické zařízení. Poslední část této práce tvoří zhodnocení současné situace pomocí SWOT analýzy provozovny a doporučení pro její zlepšení. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the selected operating catering facility in the UK, located in the center of Folkestone on the southeast coast. The thesis is divided into four thematic parts. The first concerns the position of catering services in the tourism industry, approaching their characteristics, meaning, form and function, the conditions of catering facilities operation, their classification and typology. The second chapter describes tourism in Britain and describes the area of Kent and Folkestone. The main part is the one that analysis the chosen catering facility. The last part is an evaluation of the current situation of company and recommendations for its improvement.
