Diplomová práce se zabývá významem srpnových událostí roku 1968 pro česko-ruské vztahy. Práce analyzuje zásadní faktory, jež ovlivňovaly česko-ruské vztahy od vzniku samostatného československého státu až do současnosti. Výsledek této analýzy pak umožňuje zasadit srpnové událostí roku 1968 do kontextu vzájemných vztahů. Cílem práce je odpovědět na to, zda srpen 1968 představuje zásadní překážku rozvoje dobrých česko-ruských vztahů do budoucnosti. Závěry autora jsou konfrontovány s výsledky sondy provedené mezi českými a ruskými studenty mezinárodních vztahů. The thesis deals with the importance of the events of August 1968 for the Czech-Russian relations. The analysis of the major factors that influenced the Czech-Russian relations since the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak state until now is carried out. The result of this analysis enables to incorporate the events of August 1968 into the context of the Czech-Russian relations. The aim is to answer whether the August 1968 represents a major obstacle to the development of good Czech-Russian relations in the future. The conclusion of the author is confronted with the results of the questionnaire filled in by Czech and Russian students of International relations.
