Pozice sportovního manažera je v současném profesionálním sportu jednou z důležitých funkcí, která rozhoduje o úspěšnosti celé organizace. Sportovní výsledky totiž nejsou tvořeny jen na sportovních kolbištích, ale čím dál více se o úspěšnosti a neúspěšnosti družstev rozhoduje už v kancelářích sportovních klubů, ve kterých pracují sportovní manažeři. Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na sportovní manažery z oblasti ledního hokeje a fotbalu, kteří vykonávají svoji činnost v druhých nejvyšších soutěžích České republiky. Na základě toho byly stanoveny dvě základní výzkumné otázky. První z nich se týká náplně práce sportovních manažerů a jejich kompetencí a odpovědnosti. Druhá otázka je zaměřena na kombinaci funkce sportovního manažera s jinou pozicí. K zodpovězení výzkumných otázek bylo využito dotazníkového šetření. Výsledkem této bakalářské práce je pak přehled činností, pravomocí a kompetencí, které sportovní manažer vykonává a ukázka propojení pozice sportovního manažera s jinou funkcí ve sportovním klubu. Positions of a sport manager belongs to the most important functions of current professional sport and seems to be as a crucial issue of organizations' success. Results of the games are formed not only at sport fields but also in head offices of the club by the sport managers whose decisions influencing teams' success or failure. Focused group of sport managers which is incorporated in this bachelor thesis are managers of sport clubs operating in the second highest Czech football and hockey league. Two research questions were defined. The first one is focusing on competences and responsiveness of sport managers. The second research question investigates if the managerial position is often combined with other position (for example coaches). Data were collected thanks online distributed questionnaire. Results of the research describe characteristics (including competencies, responsibilities and daily activities) of sport managers in above mentioned leagues. According to my research, there exist some differences between the job descriptions (combination of activities) of those managers.
