Tématem práce je především vztah korupce a hrubého domácího produktu v prostoru Evropské unie. Cílem práce je zjistit směr působení korupce na HDP, přičemž stanovená hypotéza hovoří o negativním vlivu. V rámci teoretické části je analyzován pojem korupce, její definice, příčiny a rozdělení a je také provedena literární rešerše problematiky vztahu korupce a hospodářského růstu. V praktické části je provedena ekonometrická analýza potvrzující negativní vliv korupce na hrubý domácí produkt. Dále je také prozkoumán vliv korupce v rozdílném ekonomickém prostředí. V závěru jsou shrnuty veškeré poznatky z práce a je navrhnuto řešení problému korupce. This paper deals with the relationship between corruption and gross domestic product in the territory of the European Union. The aim is to determine the direction of the effect of corruption on GDP. Setting hypothesis talks about the negative impact. The theoretical part analyzes the concept of corruption, its definition, causes and distribution and there is also a literature review focusing on the relationship of corruption and economic growth. In the practical part the econometric analysis confirms the negative impact of corruption on gross domestic product. Also the influence of corruption in different economic environments was examined. The conclusion summarizes all the knowledge of the work and it solves the problem of corruption.
