Bakalářská práce pojednává o rozvoji oděvního průmyslu v Bangladéši a jeho vlivech na vybrané oblasti tamní ekonomiky v 80. a 90. letech. Zkoumán je například vliv na podobu exportu, zaměstnanost, přímé zahraniční investice aj. Zároveň s tím jsou vyvozovány důsledky pro roli oděvního průmyslu v rozvoji ekonomiky a integraci do mezinárodního obchodu. Jedním z cílů práce je i zhodnocení zvýhodnění vyplývajícího z mezinárodní smlouvy Multifibre Arrangement a možnosti bezcelního dovozu do EU. Práce potvrdila, že tato zvýhodnění byla pro rozmach zkoumaného průmyslu v dané době určující. The bachelor thesis focuses on the development of the garment industry in Bangladesh and its influence on selected sectors in the 1980s and 1990s. For example, the influence on export, employment or foreign direct investments is examined. The consequences for the economic development and international trade integration are also discussed. Furthermore an evaluation of advantages resulting from the Multifibre Arrangement and duty-free market access to the EU is also part of the thesis. It shows that the advantages have been of crucial importance for the development of Bangladeshi apparel industry.
