Autor se zabývá problémy výběru a užívání počítačových programů pro analýzu kvalitativních dat. Zmiňuje se o nadějích, obavách i nereálných představách spojených s novými technologiemi, probírá způsoby využití výpočetní techniky v kvalitativním výzkumu a důvody pro užívání počítačových programů pro analýzu kvalitativních dat. Uvádí typy počítačových programů(software) pro analýzu kvalitativních dat, včetně konkrétních příkladů. Shrnuje doporučení pro užívání počítačových programů v kvalitativním výzkumu. Závěrem klade otázku vlivu těchto programů na kvalitativní výzkum a uvádí některé příklady z této oblasti. The author deals with problems of choosing and using software for analysing qualitative data. He mentions the hopes, fears and fantasies connected with new technologies, the ways of using computers in qualitative research, and the reasons for using software for analysing qualitative data. He presents the types of software for analysing qualitative data including some examples. He sums up the recommendations for using software in qualitative research. In the conclusion, the author asks the question of the impact of software on qualitative research and brings some examples in this field.
