Transformace centrálně plánované ekonomiky v ekonomiku tržní je složitým procesem, který způsobil mnohé změny v oblasti společenské, politické i ekonomické. V tomto období bylo potřeba privatizovat státem vlastněné podniky, liberalizovat ceny i zahraniční obchod, změnit obchodní politiku země a přizpůsobit ji evropským standardům. Tyto zásadní změny se pochopitelně promítly do makroekonomického vývoje České republiky a do teritoriální i komoditní struktury českého obchodu. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit průběh transformačního období a poskytnout informaci o jejím dopadu na zahraniční obchod České republiky. Transformation of a central planned economy into a market economy is a difficult process that caused many changes in the social, political and economic sphere. In this period of time, state owned companies must have been privatized, the prices and foreign trade must have been liberalized, and the foreign trade policy must have been changed and adapted to the European standards. These fundamental changes reflected in the macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic and in the territorial and commodity structure of Czech foreign trade. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the course of the transformation era and to provide information about its impact on foreign trade of the Czech Republic.
