V příspěvku je rozebráno nebezpečí představované používáním rtuti v polarografické (voltametrické) laboratoři. V úvahu byly vzaty všechny možné formy rtuti (kovová, páry, amalgámy, anorganické soli). Byla diskutována historie profesionálních i neprofesionálních otrav rtutí v České republice. The danger represented by the use of mercury in polarographic (voltammetric) laboratory is discussed. All possible forms of mercury were taken into account (metallic, vapors, amalgams, inorganic salts). The history of professional and nonprofessional intoxications by mercury was discussed.
