Zjištěné výsledky ukazují, že poškození kmene vede ke značným změnám anatomické stavby jehlic a tyto změny následně vedou k odumření jedince. Z těchto důvodů je třeba kmen bránit proti poškození. Nejdůležitějším opatřením je prevence a to formou ochrany kmene použitím různých zábran bránícím před vznikem poškození.This study examines the effect of damaging the trunk on the anatomical structure of the pine needles of scots pine (Pinus sylvestris). For the experiment 22 mature pine trees were selected , where the damage was simulated by ringing of the trunks. Six trees were left as a comparison samples, 8 pines were ringed in the summer of 2013 and the 8 remaining trees were ringed in the spring of 2014. 20 needles from this year's shoots were subjected to anatomical analysis. Needles were measured following values: sectional area, the central cylinder area, width and height of the needles. It was found that summer ringing lead to a reduction in the anatomical parameters monitored relative to the comparison samples. In contrast, from the spring ringing, it was detected that there was an increase of monitored parameters over comparison samples. We assume that the prevention of the flow of assimilates to the roots has caused their accumulation in the aboveground parts, which resulted in an increased growth of needles. The results show that the damage of the trunk leads to significant changes in the anatomical structure of the needles and these changes consequently lead to the death of the specimen. For these reasons it is necessary to defend the trunk against any damage. The most important measure is to prevent the damage of the trunk in the form of fencing, or using various barriers.
