Abstract: Issue of finding suitable methods and solutions of brownfields revitalization has been discussed for several years. Given its multidisciplinary character the solution is very complicated and the succes is not always ensured. Due to frequent contamination and degree of devastation of brownfields, increased demands on implementation of the projects are placed and private capital shows little interest in revitalization process yet. State support is also very important. One of the possible way of brownfields revitalization is installation of renewable energy sources (primarily solar and wind powers) on brownfields sites how is to be seen in developed countries. The aim of the contibution is to point out the occasions mentioned above in the Czech Republic as well.
