[cze][eng] Práce, která nese název Jelizaveta Nikolská zachycuje umělecky i soukromě bohatý život této baletní divy první poloviny 20. století. Její dětství, mládí a taneční začátky v ruské Oděse, cestu do Národního divadla v Praze, kam přijela v roce 1922 a svým ztvárněním role Odetty v nově inscenovaném Labutím jezeře pronikla do české kulturní společnosti. Dále se můžeme dočíst o jejím působení v Paříži a následném angažmá v egyptské Káhiře. Za zmínku jistě stojí i zapomenutý, ztracený a znovu nalezený balet Ruce Bohuslava Martinů. Práce pochopitelně obsahuje i návrat Nikolské do Prahy a její působení v Národním divadle za II. světové války, následnou kolaboraci a útěk z Československa do Venezuely, kde její cesta životem končí.Work, which bears the name Jelizaveta Nikolska, captures the artistic and private life of this grand diva of ballet from the first half of the 20th century. It describes her childhood, youth, and when she started dancing in the Russian city Odessa. It continues with her visit to the National Theatre of Prague, where she arrived in 1922, and her interpretation of the role of Odette in Swan Lake which helped her enter the Czech cultural society. Furthermore, this piece looks at her work in Paris, and subsequent engagement in Cairo. The once forgotten, lost and newfound ballet Hands by Bohuslav Martinu is also mentioned. This work includes Nikolska?s return to Prague and involvement in the National Theatre during the World War II, her collaboration and subsequent escape from Czechoslovakia to Venezuela, where her life journey ends.
