Tato bakalářská práce zjišťuje, zda a jak jsou plněny Rozvojové cíle tisíciletí v jedné z nejméně rozvinutých zemí světa, v Nepálu. Jejím cílem je sledovat vývoj jednotlivých ukazatelů od roku 1990 dodnes a zhodnotit, jak se Nepálu po deseti letech od podepsání Miléniové deklarace daří či nedaří jednotlivé cíle (a úkoly pod ně spadající) plnit, a zda je na dobré cestě svůj závazek splnit. V první části práce je stručně charakterizován Nepál, ve druhé části je popsáno znění Rozvojových cílů tisíciletí a ve třetí části se pak práce podrobně věnuje každému cíli zvlášť, hodnotí dosažený pokrok a učiněná opatření a kroky, které k onomu pokroku případně přispěly. This bachelor thesis investigates whether and how the Millennium Development Goals are being fulfilled in one of the world's least developed countries, in Nepal. Its objective is to monitor the progress of several indicators from 1990 until now and to evaluate how Nepal, ten years after signing the Millennium Declaration, manages to fulfil the Goals (and the relevant targets) and whether is on track to meet its commitment. The first part briefly characterizes Nepal itself, the second part describes the Millennium Development Goals and the third part of the thesis is devoted to each of the Goals in detail, evaluates the progress achieved, the measures taken and the steps that have eventually contributed to that progress.
