My thesis deals with the topic of traditional education based on my personal experience. I studied at Duncan Centre Conservatory and spent four years studying dance at university in Essen, Germany. Furthermore, I gained a one-year scholarship to study Balian dance at University in Denpasar, on the island of Bali. In my paper, I have examined my journey from chreche to The Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). I focus on the impact of dance education and the dance-based learning process. My current studies at the Department of Authorial creativity and Pedagogy proved to be a milestone in my education as I was encouraged me to see my dance and pedagogical practice from above which enabled me to blend them together in my own current, and possibly also future, practice.
