Tématem diplomové práce je vnitřní kontrolní systém. Hlavní pozornost je věnována pojetí vnitřní kontroly dle integrovaného rámce COSO. Rozebrány jsou definice, cíle a jednotlivé komponenty vnitřní kontroly. Dále se práce zabývá procesem seznámení se auditora s vnitřními kontrolami účetní jednotky při auditu účetních výkazů za účelem vyhodnocení rizika významné nesprávnosti. Zmíněn je i vliv české účetní legislativy na vnitřní kontrolní systém organizace a příklady kontrolních politik a postupů uplatňovaných na dlouhodobých aktivech podniku. This thesis deals with the internal control concept according to the COSO Integrated Framework for Internal Controls. Internal control definition, objectives and components are reviewed and commented. The emphasis is put on the auditor's understanding the entity's internal control and his responsibility to identify and assess the risk of material misstatement in the financial statements.
