Cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížení často podceňovaného psychického onemocnění - bipolární afektivní poruchy. Podstatou onemocnění jsou prudké změny nálad doprovázené výrazně intenzivními projevy emocí. Vzhledem k příčinám a projevům se jedná o onemocnění se složitou diagnostikou a následnou léčbou. Bipolární afektivní poruchu není možné vyléčit, lze pouze stabilizovat její projevy. Opodstatněně je řazena mezi jedny z finančně nejnákladnějších onemocnění. The aim of the thesis is the approach often underestimated mental illness-bipolar affective disorder. The principle of the disease are severe mood swings, accompanied by significantly intense emotions. Due to the causes and symptoms of the disease with complicated Diagnostics and subsequent treatment. Bipolar disorder cannot be cured, it can be only to stabilize its symptoms. Such is classified among some of the financially most costly diseases.
