Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá velmi aktuální problematikou přistoupení Chorvatska k Evropské unii, ke kterému dochází dne 1. července 2013. Chorvatsko se stává dvacátým osmým členem v době neutišené ekonomické situace na starém kontinentu, zvláště potom v měnové unii -- Eurozóně, jejíž problémy se přenáší na celé uskupení. Cílem diplomové práce je pomocí popisné a částečně analytické metody zevrubně popsat průběh procesu a zhodnotit a zanalyzovat možné dopady a přínosy přistoupení země k EU pro obě strany. Práce je členěna do tří hlavních kapitol, přičemž první z nich čtenáři představuje historické pozadí státu a ekonomický vývoj země. Druhá kapitola popisuje průběh přístupového procesu a jeho jednotlivé aspekty. Ve třetí kapitole potom autor vyhodnocuje možné dopady a přínosy vstupu. The presented master thesis focuses on the topical issue of Croatian Accession to the European Union that took a place on July 1, 2013. Croatia became the twenty-eighth member in the time of adverse economic situation in the old continent, especially in the monetary union -- Eurozone, which problems spread all over the Union. The aim of this thesis is to describe the course of the process and evaluate and analyze possible impacts and benefits for both parties. The thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter informs about political background of the state and economical development. The second chapter describes the process itself and its aspects, whereas in the third chapter the author evaluates possible impacts and benefits of the accession.
