Tato práce se snaží odhadnout, na jaké úrovni se v současné době nacházejí balkánské země v jejich přípravách pro vstup do EU,a zároveň s tím také popisuje bariéry, na které narážejí v tomto procesu.První kapitola zkoumá, jak jsou státy západního Balkánu sladěny s politickými kritérii, která je potřeba splnit pro členství v EU. Druhá kapitola se soustřeďuje na všeobecnou ekonomickou situaci západního Balkánu.Třetí kapitola se zabývá spory mezi balkánskými státy, které velmi komplikují procesy jejich integrace s EU. The aim of this thesis is to estimate the level of preparedness of the Western Balkans regarding their accession into the EU. Simultaneously, it describes the barriers that prolonged these processes. The first charter examines the compliance of these countries with the political conditionality set by the Union. The second chapter concentrates on the general economic situation of this region. And finally the third chapter deals with the disputes between the Balkan states that are greatly complicating their process of integration within the EU.
