V současné době dochází k růstu rozvojových ekonomik. Tento fakt přispívá ke zvyšování poptávky a spotřeby ropy. S tímto trendem souvisí budoucí postavení arabských ropných států na ropném trhu, vzhledem k tomu, že jsou držiteli největším ropných zásob na světě. Cílem předložené práce je zjistit, jak se měnila situace v arabských ropných ekonomikách především v minulém století po objevení ropných ložisek. Co tomu předcházelo z historického hlediska, jaké tam jsou trendy nyní, a jak na zkoumané státy dopadla světová krize ve 21. století. Nowadays, the developing economies are growthing rapidly. This fact contributes to increasing demand and consumption of oil. This trend relates to the future position of the Arab oil states on the oil market due to the fact that they hold the largest oil reserves in the world. The aim of this thesis is to examine how the situation changed in the Arab oil economies, especially in the last century after the discovery of oil deposits. What preceded it from a historical perspective, what trends are there now, and how the surveyed countries suffered from the financial crisis in the 21st century.
