Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vliv spotřeby alkoholu na studijní výsledky studentů vysokých škol. Konkrétně pro tuto práci byla zvolena skupina studentů studující obor ekonomie na Vysoké škole ekonomické v Praze. Data byla od studentů získána pomocí dotazníkového šetření a následně byla doplněna oficiálními daty ze školní databáze. Na základě teoretického modelu byl vytvořen ekonometrický model, který zkoumá daný vztah. Z výsledků modelu vyplynulo, že intenzita spotřeby alkoholu má na 5% hladině významnosti negativní vliv na studijní výsledky. Z výzkumu lze vyvodit, že mírně převládají negativní účinky konzumace alkoholu, jakými mohou být nevolnost, bolest hlavy či únava. Přesto je patrné, že tyto negativní účinky se snižují se zvyšujícím se počtem návštěv restauračních zařízení při konzumaci alkoholu. This bachelor thesis examines the impact of alcohol consumption on academic performance of university students. This impact was examined on students studying economics at University of Economics, Prague. Dataset was obtained from students by questionnaire survey and was subsequently supplemented by official data from the university's database. Based on the theoretical model an econometric model which examines the relationship was build. The results showed that intensity of consumption of alcohol has at the 5% significance level effect on the academic results. From the research can be concluded, that the negative effects of alcohol consumption like nausea, fatigue, and headache slightly dominate. However, it is apparent that more visits to restaurant for consumption of alcohol can lower this negative effect.
