Tato práce představuje komplexní pohled na koncepci společenské odpovědnosti firem - corporate social responsibility (CSR) a její využití v praxi vybraných francouzských společností. První část práce se zabývá teoretickou podstatou koncepce CSR, pojmem společenské odpovědnosti firem, jeho vznikem a vývojem. Uvádí tři základní oblasti CSR a popisuje proces implementace CSR do firemní praxe. Druhá část se věnuje situaci CSR v Evropské unii a ve Francii. Třetí část se zaměřuje na společenskou odpovědnost v praxi francouzských kosmetických společností Yves Rocher a L'Oréal. Na závěr je zhodnoceno a porovnáno využití koncepce v praxi těchto firem. This thesis represents the complex view of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) concept and describes the practical use of CSR by the French companies. The first part contents the introduction to CSR, identifies three main areas of CSR and describes the process of implementation of CSR into business practices. The second part deals with the situation of CSR in the European Union and France. The third section focuses on social responsibility in practice of French cosmetics companies Yves Rocher and L'Oréal. Approaches of these two companies are compared and evaluated and in the conclusion of the thesis there are recommended steps to make corporate social responsibility of the two companies more effective.
