Abstract: This work is aimed at optimization of a separation process in a thin capillary for future application in mass spectrometry (CE-MS). We have used an experimental design where the voltage only on the capillary entrance was applied. The opposite end was sharpened into an electrospray tip and situated opposite to the grounded vacuum inlet electrode. This system is called a sheathless and electrodeless interface.
