Abstract: In this work the fast and efficient methods applying ultrasound and infrared radiation were employed for in-gel digestion of proteins extracted from Hordeum vulgare. These techniques can be used instead of time consuming conventional protocol prior mass spectrometry analysis. The comparative study indicates that the examined protocols are able to enhance digestion efficiency and protein identification.
