Tato práce rozebírá motivy a nástroje, které management společností může používat pro úpravu účetnictví v mezích zákona, jejichž důsledkem je kreativní účetnictví. Pro jednotlivé možnosti jsou uvedeny příklady možného zaúčtování v praxi. V práci uvádíme možnosti kreativního účtování dle české účetní legislativy i IFRS, v některých případech je naznačen pohled na daný případ dle US GAAP. V práci jsou popsány důvody, které vedou management ke kreativnímu účetnictví, dále jsou zde rozebrány skupiny, které by měly na účetnictví dohlížet či mají vliv na tvorbu zákonů, které kreativní účetnictví omezují, či naopak podporují. V práci je rovněž popsán význam a vliv informací, způsoby jejich získávání a využití nejenom pro účely kreativního účetnictví. Práce dále rozebírá konsolidaci, kterou management může využít a mnohdy také využívá pro úpravu výkazů ke svému obrazu. Práci zakončuje kapitola věnovaná bankovnímu sektoru, kde je naznačeno, že řada bank na tom není zdaleka tak dobře, jak dokládají jejich výroční zprávy. The thesis deals with the motives and instruments that can be used by corporate management to adjust the accounting within the law resulting in creative accounting. There are given possible examples of accounting in practice for the various options according to Czech accounting legislation and IFRS and in some cases indicated view of the problem within U.S.GAAP. The thesis describes reasons which lead corporate management to creative accounting, there are further analyzed groups that should oversee the accounting or have an impact on the creation of laws that restrict creative accounting or vice versa support. The thesis also describes the importance and influence of information, methods of their extraction and their use not only for creative accounting. It also discusses consolidation, which can be used by management to adjust corporate statements in order to enhance the image of the company. The work concludes with a chapter focusing on banking sector where is shown that a large number of banks there are not doing so well as their annual reports show.
