Tato práce se zabývá stacionárními počítači a notebooky ve smyslu možností rozšiřování a architektury. V práci jsou rozebrány jednotlivé druhy počítačů pro osobní použití, tedy stacionární a notebooky, je provedena jejich kategorizace a analýza současné nabídky na českém trhu. Hlavním cílem je analyzovat možnosti rozšiřování těchto počítačů a rozebrat problematiku nahrazování stacionárních počítačů přenosnými počítači. V souvislosti s rozšiřováním notebooků se práce blíže zabývá dokovacími stanicemi a možnostmi, které plynou z jejich využívání. Práce je rozčleněna do pěti hlavních celků, z čehož kapitoly Stacionární počítače a Notebooky obsahují teoretické znalosti, z nichž vychází kapitola Porovnávání stacionárních PC a notebooků. Jako možné východisko při rozšiřování notebooků lze označit dokovací stanice, kterým se blíže věnuje stejnojmenná kapitola rozebírající jejich současné možnosti a ceny. Závěry jsou pak verifikovány prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření, které je zaměřeno na současné využívání počítačů a jejich rozšiřování s důrazem právě na dokovací stanice. This bachelor thesis compares expansion possibilities and architecture of desktop PCs and notebooks. It analyses different types of computers for personal use, desktops and notebooks, it categorizes them and analyses contemporary available on the Czech market. The goal of this thesis is to analyze expansion possibilities and also analyze the issue of using notebooks as desktop replacements. In relation to notebooks expandability this thesis analyses docking stations and possibilities that arise from their using. The thesis consists of five major sections, where chapters about desktop PCs and notebooks contain theoretical knowledge which are basis to a comparison of desktops and notebooks. As a possible solution of expansion of notebooks should be considered possibility of docking this is analyzed in a separate section. Conclusions are verified by a survey which is aimed at contemporary using of computers and their expandability with focus on docking stations.
