The objective of this thesis is to describe the migration policy of the Czech Republic focusing on work immigration and it's analysis in the last ten years. In long term the ratio of economically active foreigners in the Czech Republic is continually growing. Of course more immigrants mean more problems for the Czech Republic to deal with. Some of these problems are described in this bachelor's thesis with the use of the author's knowledge, who is an employee at a national institution. The current state of work immigration is presented by the sector of national economy, by the distribution of immigrants in the Czech Republic and by their demographic structure. From the aspect of the source country of migrants, their status at work and their gender the analysis of work immigration development in the observed period confirmed the premises of professionals, that the amount of migrants in the Czech Republic will consistently grow and eventually will reach the ratio of other European countries who have had similar migration history.
