Institut datových schránek byl do českého právního řádu zaveden zákonem č. 300/2008 Sb., o elektronických úkonech a autorizované konverzi dokumentů již před třemi lety. Cílem této práce je představit datové schránky v kontextu českého eGovernmentu a na základě případové studie posoudit jejich skutečný přínos pro občana komunikujícího s orgány veřejné moci. V úvodní části práce seznámím čtenáře s legislativními východisky Informačního systému datových schránek a souvisejících nástrojů eGovernmentu, popíši specifika fungování a používání datových schránek a shrnu jejich vývoj od spuštění systému v roce 2009 do současnosti. Ve druhé části práce kladu hlavní důraz na případovou studii, zachycující realitu použití datových schránek na českých úřadech. Na jejím základě posuzuji úspěšnost splnění cílů definovaných Ministerstvem vnitra České republiky při jejich zavádění. The Data box institute was authorized into the Czech legal order by the Act No. 300/2009 Coll., about "Electronic acts and authorized conversion of documents" three years ago. The aim of the thesis is to introduce data boxes in the context of the Czech e-Government and, based on the case study, to assess their real merit to citizens communicating with public authorities. In the opening part the reader is familiarized with the legislative possibilities of the information system of the data boxes and with other tools related to the e-Government. There are also described the particularities of operation and use of the data boxes and a summary of their development since the launching of the system in 2009 up to the present is made here. In the second part I point out primarily the case study, which depicts the reality of use of the databoxes in the Czech offices. According to this I evaluate the success rate of the performance of the aims defined by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic during their implementation.
