Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou implementace Business Intelligence v malých a středních firmách a zároveň se zaměřuje na agilní řízení projektů a představuje možnosti tohoto přístupu. Cílem práce je představení agilní metodiky pro implementaci Business Intelligence a porovnání průběhu reálného projektu s postupem navrhovaným v této metodice a navržení jeho zlepšení. Práce je členěna do tří hlavních celků. První částí je úvod do teorie, v kterém je nejdříve představena Business Intelligence a jsou popsány pojmy jako transakční a analytické systémy, datový sklad, datové tržiště a jiné. Následuje rešerše minulých prací zaměřených na implementaci Business Intelligence. Úvod do teorie je zakončen představením metodiky CRISP-DM pro malé a střední podniky současně s agilními metodikami Scrum a Extrémní programování. Cíle práce a některých dílčích cílů je dosaženo pomocí analýzy agilní metodiky Agile Data Warehousing pro implementaci Business Intelligence v druhé části práce a porovnání této metodiky s reálným projektem ve společnosti v závěrečné hlavní části, kde jsou také navržena zlepšení pro budoucí použití. Přínosem práce je především netradiční pohled na implementaci Business Intelligence pomocí agilního přístupu a navržené postupy pro další použití v malých či středních firmách. Přínosem jsou i popsaná specifika pro firmy z oblasti finančního poradenství. This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of Business Intelligence in small and medium-sized companies and furthermore focuses on an agile project management and introduces possibilities for this approach. The aim of the project is to present an agile methodology of Business Intelligence implementation and comparison of processes of a real project with the procedures proposed in this methodology and eventually propose improvements. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part is an introduction to the theory, in which the concept of Business Intelligence is introduced and important terms as transactional and analytical systems, data warehouse, data mart, etc. are described, being followed by research of previous works focused on Business Intelligence implementation. The introduction to the theory is closed with introducing CRISP-DM methodology for SMEs and agile methodologies as Scrum and Extreme Programming. The objectives of the thesis and some sub-goals are achieved through the analysis of the agile methodology "Agile Data Warehousing for Business Intelligence implementation" in the second part of the thesis. The final main section is a comparison with a real project, in which certain improvements are also proposed for future use. The benefit of this thesis is especially the unusual view at the implementation of Business Intelligence through agile approach and proposed methods for future use in small and medium-sized companies. The benefits are also described particularly for business companies in the area of financial advice.
