Práce pojednává o sérii sporů řešených ve WTO od roku 1993 do roku 2009 ohledně dovozního režimu banánů do EU mezi Evropskou Unií a USA se zeměmi Latinské Ameriky. Zabývá se také situací na světovém trhu s banány na začátku 90. let a v současnosti, vysvětluje, proč ke sporům došlo, jak probíhaly a skončily a v neposlední řadě také jaký měly dopad na světový obchod s banány. This thesis concerns the series of disputes between the EU and the USA with Latin American countries that were disscused within WTO from 1993 to 2009. It also includes the description of the situation in the international banana market at the beginning of the 90s and nowadays, it explains the reasons why the disputes were caused, how was their process running and how they ended up. Finaly, the thesis deals with the impact of the disputes on the world banana trade.
