Diplomová práce pojednává o využití finančních prostředků z fondů EU ve vztahu k rozvoji cestovního ruchu v Kraji Vysočina. Teoretická část se zabývá cestovním ruchem a jeho vazbou na regionální rozvoj. Na problematiku cestovního ruchu a jeho rozvoje je zde nahlíženo z pohledu České republiky i Evropské unie. Představeny jsou zde jednotlivé orgány, které se řízením cestovního ruchu na těchto úrovních zabývají a zmíněna je zde i politika hospodářské a sociální soudržnosti, jejímž prostřednictvím je podpora cestovního ruchu z fondů EU realizována. Praktická část diplomové práce se zabývá Krajem Vysočina a možnostmi podpory cestovního ruchu v kraji prostřednictvím fondů EU. Vedle základních charakteristik Kraje Vysočina a jeho nabídky v oblasti cestovního ruchu jsou v práci podrobně rozebrány a prostřednictvím analýz jednotlivých výzev a realizovaných projektů shrnuty možnosti podpory cestovního ruchu v Kraji Vysočina. The thesis deals with utilisation of EU funds regarding tourism development in Vysočina region. Theoretical part is concerned with tourism and its relation to regional development. Tourism issues and tourism development is seen from both Czech Republic and European Union point of view. Authorities which deals with tourism management at above mentioned levels are introduced here. Economic and social politics by which tourism support from EU funds is implemented are mentioned also. Practical part of the thesis deals with possibilities of utilisation of the funds for tourism development in Vysočina region. In addition to the basic characterization of the region and his tourism supply, with the help of analyses of particular calls and through all realized projects the thesis summarizes the possibilities of utilisation of the funds for tourism development in Vysočina region.
