Předmětem práce je nezbytnost zavedení důchodové reformy v ČR v důsledku nepříznivého vývoje nejen demografických faktorů. Úvodní část je věnována obecné charakteristice sociální politiky a zabývá se jejími principy, typy, cíly a funkcemi. Ve druhé kapitole je popsán důchodový systém se zaměřením na penzijní schéma v ČR a jeho historie, vývoj a současný stav. Dále jsou uvedeny důkazy, které podporují tezi o neudržitelnosti stávajícího systému a nutnosti jeho transformace. V závěru jsou nastíněny reformní možnosti spolu s různými návrhy na jejich provedení. The topic of this work is the necessity of establishing pension reform in Czech republic as a consequence of unfavourable development of not only demographic factors. The introductory part is devoted to general characteristic of social policy and deals with its principles, types, aims and functions. In the second chapter the pension system along with its history, development and actual state is described. Further some proofs that support the thesis of untenability of the current system and essentials of its transformation are mentioned. In the end are described few reform strategies together with various proposals of its accomplishment.
