Problems of immature newborns

The presented final thesis is intended to the problematic of extremely immature newborns. The thesis is formally split to two main parts. The first part is focused on theoretical description of immature newborns while the second part is dedicated to the practical research and investigation. There is described the history of the development in the neonatology domain, newborns classification and contemporary possibility of immature newborns treatment in the theoretical part. There is concern with the problems which can be introduced by the rescuing of immature newborns and also impacts of such rescuing to the rescued, assisted nurse and possibly human society. The practical part has is intended to the research and investigation. The investigation is accomplished on the department of intensive and resuscitation care and two departments of physiological newborns on Gynecological-maternal hospital which is part of General facultative hospital of Prague. The research and investigation has been focused towards nurse's attitude to the viability edge of immature newborns. There are seen the basic problems in the unknowingness of the viability limit from the nurses' point of view. Philosophical realism in the library and information science at the conception of Birger Hjørland

Práce je představuje koncepci dánského knihovníka a psychologa Birgera Hjrlanda, který se věnuje studiu vlivu epistemologických filosofií na oblast knihovnictví a informační vědy. Cílem je prezentovat Hjrlandův přístup jako vhodnou koncepci pro knihovnictví a informační vědu, protože na rozdíl od převládajících tendencí nabízí komplexnější pohled na problematiku oboru a přináší nové impulsy pro další výzkum. Na počátku práce seznamuje s historickým vývojem epistemologických disciplín, včetně jejich základních charakteristik, poté poukazuje na jejich vliv na oblast knihovnictví a informační vědy. Hlavní pozornost je zaměřena na Hjrlandova stanoviska k oblastem vyhledávání informací, předmětové analýzy, organizace znalostí a doménové analýzy.

Social Support for Nurses in Intensive Care Units Bachelor work deals with the problematics of social support for nurses in the intensive care units. The theoretic part defines the social support, describes the problematics of the social support, the psychology and psychological hygienics of the nurse. The empiric part presents results of a questionary research in 100 nurses who work in the intensive care units of different clinical disciplines in the University Hospital in Hradec Králové.

Pallová,A. Smoking of medical staff seen as a problem. My graduation work consists of two parts. In the theoretical part I focused on the problem of smoking both active and passive. Further I studied the influence of smoking on human organism and possible health risks. There is an article on current legal norms included, reflecting economical consequences of smoking. The practical part concerns smoking prevalence as such, especially smoking prevalence at work, and includes medical workers's view to smoking as to an illness and addiction. I further focused on medical workers' legislation knowledge and financial question concerning the NRT ( nicotine replacement therapy ). In this part I set out 5 working hypotheses. For confirming or refusing them I used the questionnaire research method. The sample of respondents consisted of 129 employees of the Regional Náchod Hospital a.s. employed at the Broumov hospital. The research was carried out during the month of March 2006.

Webový průvodce světem expertních systémů

Předkládaná práce "Webový průvodce světem expertních systémů" se zabývá expertními systémy. Cílem této práce je vytvořit učební pomůcku pro zájemce o problematiku expertních systémů, která by primárně sloužila studentům kurzu 4IZ229 (Úvod do umělé inteligence) k ucelení jejich poznatků. Jejím úkolem je osvětlit čtenáři pojem expertní systém, přiblížit základní principy těchto aplikací, nastínit proces jejich tvorby a poskytnout tak ucelený přehled o expertních systémech včetně jejich zhodnocení. Jak již z názvu práce vyplývá, vytvořená učební pomůcka je zpřístupněna formou webové prezentace v síti internet. Webový průvodce obohatí celou práci o výhody interaktivního přístupu a zaslouží se o zvýšení její dostupnosti. Vedle rozboru základních principů expertních systémů a názorných ukázek situací na konkrétních příkladech obsahuje rovněž množství odkazů na další zdroje v síti internet týkající se expertních systémů. Obecným přínosem této práce je kromě tvorby samotné učební pomůcky a zmapování problematiky expertních systémů rovněž i demonstrace uvedených poznatků prostřednictvím jednoduchého expertního systému. V úvodní části své studie popisuji umělou inteligenci, přibližuji její definici, zabývám se stavovým prostorem a skrze stručný historický přehled se dostávám k expertním systémům. Dále vysvětluji expertní systém, jeho strukturu, základní charakteristiky, typy expertních úloh a typologii expertních systémů. Následuje rozbor jejich základních principů, v němž se zabývám zejména otázkou reprezentace znalostí, inference a neurčitosti. Závěrečná část práce je věnována procesu tvorby expertních systémů, především pak tvorbě vlastní aplikace. Jedná se o bázi znalostí zpřístupněnou prostřednictvím webové služby ES NEST v síti internet. Tento jednoduchý expertní systém zabývající se výběrem studijního oboru na Vysoké škole ekonomické v Praze poslouží jednak k názorné demonstraci uvedených poznatků, jednak ke zhodnocení potencionálních výhod a nevýhod expertních systémů.

Acquaintanceship of the catholics with the problem of assisted reproduction

How informed are Catholics about assisted reproduction Infertility is on the increase and alongside this problem thre has been a growth in the number of clinics offering assisted reproduction mainly in the developed world. More and more people who are unable to give birth naturally are deciding on artificial insemination. The goal of this thesis was to find out the standing of the Catholic people with regards to this phenomenon, how much they are aware of it, what is the source of their knowledge and how much they agree with the church's teaching. The first part introduces the techniques of reproductive medicine and, in particular, their negative circumstances. The following part describes the research whose focus was groups of Catholics in Prague, outside Prague and also students at theological colleges. Its results to a large extent answer the questions that the author asks herself in the introduction. KEYWORDS: Assisted Reproduction, Artificial Insemination, Catholics, Embryo, Infertility.

Pragmatism and neopragmatism as possible epistemological approaches in library and information science

Tématem práce je charakteristika filosofických přístupů - pragmatismu a neopragmatismu a možnosti jejich aplikace ve výzkumech knihovnictví a informační vědy. Základní myšlenky pragmatismu jsou ilustrovány na koncepcích jeho hlavních představitelů - Charlese S. Peirce, Williama Jamese a Johna Deweyho. Neopragmatismus je charakterizován na hlavních přínosech soudobého amerického filosofa Richarda Rortyho. Cílem práce je představit tyto přístupy jako vhodné koncepce pro knihovnictví a informační vědu, protože na rozdíl od převládajících pozitivistických tendenci nabízejí komplexnější pohled na problematiku oboru a přinášejí nové směry pro další výzkum.

Jako téma své problematiku využití bakalářské strukturované práce metody jsem výběru zvolil a to pohovoru na bázi kompetencí při výběru manažerů personální agenturou. Zájem o bližší rozpracování souvislostí v procesu výběru manažerů a jej ich využití v praktickém výběru byl významným motivem při volbě tématu této práce. Více než patnáct let pracuj i v oboru vyhledávání a výběru manažerů pro zejména zahraniční společnosti působící v České republice a na Slovensku. Toto téma se prolíná nejen mojí kariérou, ale souvisí i s vývojem oboru personálního poradenství a metod výběru manažerů v České republice od roku 1989. V této bakalářské práci se pokouším popsat jeden z důležitých nástrojů výběru manažerů a současně jeho využití v personální praxi. Ze zkušeností vím, že problematika výběru manažerů je velmi dobře zpracována teoreticky, ale v praxi nejsou strukturované metody výběru příliš uplatňovány. A to jak na straně zaměstnavatele, tak i na straně personálních agentur. Přitom efektivita výběru při využití takových metod je vysoká, a prakticky se proj evuj e ve stabilitě výsledků a kariér vybraných manažerů. Dle dosavadních zkušeností mohu uvést, že díky využití strukturované metody výběru roste efektivita výběru zhruba trojnásobně. Psychosocial and Legal Assistance to Victims of Traffic Accidents

The diploma thesis treats of momentousness of the road traffic accidents and consequences to the lives of the victims of the traffic accidents and survivors. The thesis arises from the matter of psychosocial sciences and its main aim is not only to chart the problems of road traffic accidents in the point of view of the socioeconomic consequences and injuries but also to inform and show on the serious effects of the road traffic accidents to the psychical, social and often economical life of the individual and to extend the consciousness and know-how of the general and professional public about this complicated point s at issue. In the theoretical part of the thesis the term psychosocial aid means not only the critical aid, but also the concrete following professional services which are instanced as a view in the thesis. The legal aid to the victims of the traffic accidents is specified as a survey of the claims which come from the system of social security in the Czech Republic.
