Business Plan for Waste Processing Company
Koubek, Ondřej ; Bočková, Nina (referee) ; Pavláková Dočekalová, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with creating a business plan to establish a new company for waste disposal. It includes theoretical background necessary for creating a business plan, which is then used in analytical part that includes market analysis and calculation necessary for creating financial plan. Proposal´s part includes the business plan based on the acquired data, which allows realization of the project and shows its rentability.
Immobilization of heavy metals in the cement matrix with the admixture of natural zeolite
Semerádová, Nikol ; Bayer, Patrik (referee) ; Vyšvařil, Martin (advisor)
Heavy metals released to the natural ecosystem constitute significant risks not only for organisms, but also for water supplies in the nature. There are a number of analytical methods for the determination of heavy metals. Each of them is suitable for different element and its character. Since the results of the analysis are applied during the solidification and stabilization, it is necessary to ensure the highest correlation between hazardous waste and solidification medium for maximum inhibition of toxic ions. This work investigates the stabilization of heavy metals binders based on cement base with admixture of the natural zeolite and its possible use for the solidification of heavy metals in soluble form.

Sustainable treatment of municipal solid waste
Lapáček, Milan ; Šomplák, Radovan (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on a particular type of waste – municipal waste. It´s engaged in a research of current production and in a way of treatment of the municipal waste in the Czech Republic. In the work it´s stated the basic ways of the waste treatment and it´s focused on the energy recovery of municipal waste. It´s introduced the basic data resources, which enabled to analyze the waste management. In other parts of the thesis it´s compared specific production and the ways of waste treatment in the Czech Republic with the ways of waste disposal in other countries of European Union, especially Germany.
Technicko – ekonomické vyhodnocení funkce spalovny infekčního odpadu
Uiberlay, Michal
The diploma thesis introduces in general the historical development of the crea-tion and method of waste disposal and, in more detail, the issue of hazardous waste in healthcare facilities. Furthermore, with the applicable legislation that applies to waste disposal and also with the technical requirements for medical waste incinerators. It will evaluate the possibility of repair or total reconstruction and further use of the currently unused waste incinerator in a regional hospital. Next, we will describe the current technical state of the incinerator, a proposal for a possible solution in the form of a total reconstruction, and an economic assessment of the operation of the incinerator. We will compare the results with disposal options by handing over to another specialized company or decontamination of hazardous waste directly in the medical facility. We will compare the proposed possible solutions for waste disposal.
Possibilities of land reclamation of areas afected by mining and waste disposal in suburban territory
KOSOVÁ, Markéta
The subject is "Possibilities o fland reclamation of areas afected by mining and waste disposal in suburban territory". The area is Odkaliště Hodějovice. This plant lies in three municipal territories {--} České Budějovice, Staré Hodějovice a Srubec. The decanting plant is used to stock of ash materiál from Teplárna Inc. České Budějovice and steam plant Nové Vráto. The area of this territory is c. 52,6 ha. In the decanting plant will proceed a biological reclamation. The purpose of this reclamation is {\clqq}return to nature``.
Sink disposers and theirs importance in biological degradable waste removal.
Amemori, Anna ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Doležalová, Markéta (referee)
Some 30 - 50 % of municipal solid waste (MSW) is biodegradable waste. Most of this waste is sent to landfills or incinerated and is not recovered. According to Waste Management Plan of Czech Republic based on the Landfill Directive of EU, Czech Republic should to reduce weight of biodegradable waste sent to lanndfills to 75 % in 2010 and 35 % in 2020 compared with the amount that had been landfilled in 1995. In rural areas biodegradable waste is fed to animals or treated by home composting. However in urban areas the collection of separated biowaste is problem for a long time. Food waste disposers (FWDs) presents interesting alternative for the biowaste disposal. They enable the separation of food waste at source by shreding it in a kitchen sink. FWDs utilize existing infrastructure of sewer system to transport shreded wastes to wastewater treatment plants (WWTP). Wastes can be disposed in WWTPs by anaerobic digestion - the best method for disposal of food waste of animal origin. This work concentrates on literature research of studies about feasibility of FWD as a instrument for biodegradable waste removal and compares arguments for and against using of FWDs in households. Majority of studies shows no complications in sewer system and on WWTP after instalation of FWDs. Energetic and hydraulic consumption...
Roberto Saviano's Gomorrah. Reality and fiction
Bursíková, Martina ; Flemrová, Alice (advisor) ; Pelán, Jiří (referee)
This thesis focuses on the selected topics of Roberto Saviano's Gomorrah and it attempts to examine the way the author works with facts and how he presents them. In the introductory chapter I gave an outline of Saviano's work and of the general characteristics of his literary style, his processing of facts and work with them and the main topics of his writings. In the beginning of my thesis, I addressed the topic of a literary style called the New Journalism. I presented its main ideas, representatives, literary goals and the core points of its manifesto. When assessing Saviano's work in the context of New Journalism, I believe it is crutial to consider its objectivity, genuine capture of reality and its comprehensive approach to narration of facts with a literary language of aesthetic dimension. Saviano's only deflection from this style would be in his role of the narrator. New Journalism seeked to push the role of the narrator to the background or to have it absent altogether whereas Saviano often appears in his own plays as a direct participant or an indirect commentator. The view of the author, the participant or the characters did frequently appear in the works of New Journalism. The most common form, however, was to expound and describe the character through its' own mind - which makes the role of the...
