This bachelor´s thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation CZECH STYLE, Ltd. Evaluation of financial health is achieved using financial and statistical analysis. This thesis is divided into three sections. The first section describes the theory of financial analysis and the theory of statistical analysis, the second part shows practical using of the financial analysis CZECH STYLE, Ltd. The results of the analysis are used to formulate proposals for improving the current financial situation.

The aim of the thesis is to design a user-friendly and time-efficient program to determine the company's financial situation. Bachelor's thesis can be divided into three main parts. The first part describes the theoretical definition of financial analysis and theoretical definition programming environment. The second part is an analysis of the problem and the current situation of the company Synett, Ltd. The last part is the actual draft program, which is implemented in the Visual Basic for Application in Excel program. The last section also describes the benefits of work.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the financial situation of a chosen company on the basis of financial analysis. For the calculation of the indicators was created own simple algorithm in the Visual Basic for Application in Microsoft Excel. Using the results is assessed financial situation of the company, defined weaknesses and threats and proposed measures to solve the problems to improve the situation.

In the first part we find the theoretical basis which explains what is the performance of the company, the financial analysis and the characteristics of the selected methods. The second analytical part deals with the description of the company and it is assortment and calculations of selected indicators. In the last part, due to the calculated results, is about outlined proposals to improve the financial situation.

Evaluation of a Company's Financial Situation in MS Excel and Proposals For its Improvement

The bachelor thesis is focused on the financial situation assessment of a chosen company which is based on methods of financial analysis. The software Visual Basic for Application in the MS Excel environment is being used for creation of the algorithm itself. It is used for calculation of specific financial indicators necessary for evaluation of the company’s financial health. The results form a basis for defining failures and threats of the company´s business activities. Subsequently appropriate actions for eliminating the problems are being suggested. These should also facilitate a complex improvement of the company´s financial status.
