Klára Novotná, Ph.D. Title: Physiotherapy during COVID-19 pandemic within patients with sclerosis multiplex Abstract: This work focuses on the possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervention in patients with multiple sclerosis who experience persistent symptoms after recovering from COVID-19 infection. The main aspects of therapeutic intervention include physical therapy and respiratory physiotherapy. The theoretical part of the work introduces the issue of post-COVID syndrome and delves into its terminology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevalence of clinical symptoms, and therapeutic possibilities from both general and physiotherapeutic perspectives. Another part is dedicated to the characterization of multiple sclerosis itself, providing a detailed description of the basic characteristics of this disease. In the concluding section of the theoretical part, topics such as pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy, and physical therapy are thoroughly discussed. Psychosomatic approach in physiotherapy in postcovide syndrome

The thesis deals with the physiotherapeutic view of the post-covid syndrome and the psychosomatic approach to it. It is based on theoretical studies dealing with the connection between the psychological and somatic aspects of this disease and the extent of its influence on the patient's psychological and physical condition. On the basis of diagnostic tests of postural and respiratory functions, a 6-minute walk test and structured questionnaires (PHQ-9, PHQ-15, CAT and FAS) investigating the subjective feelings of the patient, such as experiencing illness, stress, fear and depression, it establishes possible physiotherapeutic interventions for the treatment of patients with post-covid syndrome. The work in the practical part presents a detailed proposal for a rehabilitation plan for patients with post-covid syndrome, based on the correction of the postural system, physiotherapy using the respiratory and postural functions of the diaphragm, respiratory physiotherapy and overall improvement of physical condition. Its effect is presented in the form of two case studies. Standardized questionnaires show an improvement in the physical and psychological condition of both patients. Treatment of a patient after Covid 19 disease in terms of pulmonary department.

This work focuses on nursing care for patients with COVID-19 on the pulmonary ward from the perspective of outpatient care. The aim of the study is to describe specific nursing care for these patients and map the interest in extended care. The study utilizes a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods for data collection. For the quantitative part of the research, a dosing method using a non-standardized questionnaire was utilized. Three hypotheses were formulated: H1. The presence of nursing problems after recovering from COVID-19 is not related to age. H2. The presence of nursing problems after recovering from COVID-19 is not related to the need for hospitalization. H3. Patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 have the same interest in follow-up care as patients treated on an outpatient basis. The semi-structured interview method was used for data collection in the qualitative part. Research questions were formulated: What patients require nursing care after recovering from COVID-19? What is the follow-up care for patients after recovering from COVID-19? What nursing problems occur in patients after recovering from COVID-19 during outpatient care? What are the resulting criteria for nursing problems in patients after recovering from COVID-19 during outpatient care? The results of both the quantitative and qualitative research confirmed the interest in extended care for patients recovering from COVID-19 on the pulmonary ward. The specifics of nursing care for these patients focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, appropriate physical activity, and respiratory rehabilitation. Higher interest in extended care was found in patients who were hospitalized due to COVID-19. It was also confirmed that the presence of nursing problems in patients after recovering from COVID-19 is not related to age or the need for hospitalization. The research findings can contribute to understanding nursing care and serve as a basis for further development in this area. The conclusions of the research can be used to improve nursing practice and care planning for this specific group of patients. It is important to provide appropriate support and care for these patients in order to optimize their health and quality of life after recovering from the illness.

Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with MODS and Covid-19 in Case History

Title: Case study of the physiotherapy treatment of patient with MODS and Covid-19 in case history Abstract This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of acute and postacute physiotherapeutic care in patients hospitalized in the ICU. The primary aim of the thesis was to conduct the specific case study and provide theoretical basis for diagnoses and physiotherapeutic interventions related to the given case study. Secondary objective was to briefly summarise the current available knowledge about Covid-19, post-Covid syndrome and highlight the importance of this issue in physiotherapeutic practice. This report is divided into three main parts. The first two chapters are theoretical. They focus on detailed descriptions of selected diagnoses and possible therapeutic interventions. These include systemic inflammatory response syndrome, sepsis, septic shock, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, acute respiratory distress syndrome and post-Covid syndrome. Within the physiotherapeutic approaches, selected methods of pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy and current recommended rehabilitation procedures for patients with post-Covid syndrome are presented.
