Assessment of the economic efficiency of the investment project

The subject of this thesis is to assess the economic efficiency of the investment project. The theoretical part focuses on the basic definitions related to investment decisions on the investment project and the project life cycle, cash flows and their predictions and recommendations to set them correctly, methods useful for assessing the effectiveness of the investment project and the indicators presenting the financial stability and feasibility of the project as well as factors affecting the overall investment decision, and finally the possibility of financing of the investment projects in the private sector. In the practical part there are the theoretical findings applied in the real investment project. Specifically, there will be analyzed the characterized investment project and its possible alternatives and finally made the assessment of economic efficiency.

Analysis of Highest and Best Use of a Building at 12 Vojtova Street, Brno

The diploma thesis deals with analysis of the highest and best use of a Building at Vojtova 541/12 in Brno. The theoretical part describes problematics of property valuation, which is closely related to this analysis. In addition, there are the tests underlying the analysis which are: Legal permissibility, Physical possibility, Financial feasibility, Maximum productivity. In the practical part of the diploma thesis are these tests applied of the valued property and then determined the highest and best use.

Financial Feasibility and Economic Efficiency of Flood Protection Measures

This master thesis deals with topic of efficiency and possibilities of financing of flood defense in the Czech Republic. First part describes general terms related to economical calculations. The methods of calculating of efficiency in common sense take place in this part of thesis. There are also described differences in counting of efficiency of public good. Theoretical part continues with basic information about floods and types of flood defense in the Czech Republic. Last part of theory describes method of calculating efficiency for flood defense. The main aim of the practical part is to apply this methodology to particular case of flood defense in the Czech Republic.

Analysis of the highest and best use of a former warehouse area in Brno

This diploma thesis focuses on the highest and best use analysis (HABU) of property. In first chapters there is mention about current legislation, theoretical terms and methods of property valuation in Czech republic. The next chapter describes a methodology for the highest and best use analysis. The analysis itself was applied to real case, specifically to a former storage area of the construction company, which is located in Brno - Maloměřice. For this area were designed scenarios of possible use and four of them were chosen using tests of HABU analysis. In the end, one of them was chosen which is being considered the highest and best use for this property.
