A Proposal of Voluntary Reporting in Selected Company

This diploma thesis deals with reporting of sustainability development and its mode of administration of regular reports. The purpose of the first section is to explain, define and describe theoretical and methodological approaches of corporate social responsibility of companies, how they were developed and what are their elementary principles and characteristics. The second section focuses on the analysis of implementation of corporate social responsibility in a concrete company in three areas – economical, social and environmental. The aim of the thesis is to create report about corporate social responsibility and sustainability development, based on acquired information and evaluated analyses.
Preparation of the Production Project

This bachelor thesis focus on project preparation, that includes identification of project’s purpose, target and outputs, also planning itself and evaluations of each obtained information. The theoetical part deals with project management, explination of terms associated with the management. In addition, the thesis introduces the company and the previous SafeShore project that provides output data for the analysis, wich are the core for planning the whole project.

The bachelor thesis follows up on social responsibility in the company Včelco s.r.o. The primary objective of the bachelor thesis is to propose activities that will increase the responsible behaviour of the company in the case of implementation. The bachelor thesis is divided into literature search and results. The literature search describes the basic concepts, definitions and divisions necessary for the analysis in the results part of the thesis. In the results section is presented an analysis of the current status of CSR in the company and is evaluated a questionnaire survey to identify the awareness of current customers about the company's performing CSR activities. As part of the results were identified the problem areas of the CSR concept. Based on which were proposed three recommended suggestions for the development of social responsibility in the company, including cost-calculation.

Environmental reporting by companies according to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) in the context of planetary boundaries

Environmental reporting has been developed in response to pressures from stakeholders who demand non-financial information about companies in addition to financial information. This trend is related to the expansion of the indicators of sustainability and sustainable development and the increased interest of our society in these issues. Reporting has become one of the ways to improve the sustainability of companies and thus support sustainability in general. Environmental sustainability is determined by the concept of planetary boundaries in this thesis. This thesis first summarizes the origins and development of environmental reporting, describes its benefits and risks, and presents its standards. The thesis is then specifically focused on new proposals of European Sustainability Reporting Standards that are part of the new Directive (2022/2464/EU), which came into force 5th January 2023. There are not many scientific papers that deal with these standards yet. The aim of this thesis is to find out whether sustainability standards cover global environmental sustainability issues. It shows that the new standards do indeed cover all the themes of the planetary boundaries concept. The first part carries the definition of the term CSR, the history of the term, the meaning, development, driving forces of its application, views and influence on various areas of business. The second part is devoted to the analysis of the trend of CSR development in the Czech Republic. An effort was made to learn about the problems that stand in the way of the development / implementation of CSR and the results in case of its use.

Corporate social responsibility of limited companies and its impact on the standard of due managerial care

In my master's thesis I focus on the corporate social responsibility (CSR) within a joint stock company and a limited liability company. The aim of this paper is to define the CSR and to find out the ways in which corporate social responsibility displays in the company. Displays of the CSR are described on the most widespread company in the world - join stock company. This thesis composes of four chapters. The first chapter focuses on the development of corporate social responsibility and on its minuses and pluses for the company. The next chapter attempts to define the purpose and the interest of the company. In general, we can say that the joint stock company is found for the entrepreneurial purpose and its main task is to produce a profit to its founders. However, that does not mean that such purpose is the only possible purpose of the company. Regarding interest of the company, this thesis analyses the most fundamental approaches to this topic and the approach which the Czech company law uphold regarding this matter. The third chapter focuses on the obligation of joint stock company's governing body to act according to the duty of care.
