Analýza způsobů informační bezpečnosti pro uživatele internetu
Vladimirova, Ekaterina ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Novotný, Jakub (referee)
This thesis is devoted to the information security risk analysis methods for Internet users. Its main objectives include familiarizing Internet users with the types of Internet security threats, analyzing the most prominent anti-virus software, giving instructions for installing a Windows firewall, and providing recommendations on information security. The theoretical part describes the main and most popular services offered on the Internet, as well as the history and development of the Internet. Other chapters focus on information security and describe the types of malware threats that might be encountered on the Internet. In the conclusion of the theoretical part the means of protection against cybercrime, i.e. anti-virus programs and firewalls are characterized. The practical part consists of three parts. The first part is devoted to the evaluation of seven popular antivirus programs with their own firewall in accordance with the selected criteria. The second part gives instructions on how to configure Windows 8 Firewall. Finally, recommendations for Internet users are provided, which must be observed for their own safety.

Proxy servers in Internet
Henek, Jan ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
The goal of this paper is to analyze the representation of proxy servers in cyber attacks conducted by Internet. For this purpose I used method which compares tested IP address with database of open proxy servers. I assembled a list of IP address taken from the blacklist of cyber attacks committed in 2015. Then I checked this list with the created program Proxy checker and compared them with a database of open proxy servers. By measurement I demonstrate the inefficacy of this method for reverse detection of proxy servers in the IP list of past attacks.

In the first part, this thesis is providing a basic overview of the SMTP protocol and the protocols used in the Microsoft Exchanage server. The most common threats in the e-mail communication are also discussed here and several available solutions of protection against them are presented.
Network Protection Using NetFlow Data
Sedlář, Petr ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This document provides information about Cisco NetFlow technology and its usage to protect networks from different types of attacks. Part of the document is a summary of common security risks in term of their detection on network and transport layer. There are specified characteristics of NetFlow data containing samples of security risks. On the basis of these characteristics, an application for detection these risks is designed and implemented.
Artificial Immune Systems for Spam Detection
Hohn, Michal ; Sekanina, Lukáš (referee) ; Schwarz, Josef (advisor)
This work deals with creating a hybrid system based on the aggregation of artificial immune system with appropriate heuristics to make the most effective spam detection. This work describes the main principles of biological and artificial immune system and conventional techniques to detect spam including several classifiers. The developed system is tested using well known database corpuses and a comparison of the final experiments is made.
Spam Filter Implementation on the Basis of Artificial Immune Systems
Neuwirth, David ; Schwarz, Josef (referee) ; Sekanina, Lukáš (advisor)
Unsolicited e-mails generally present a major problem within the e-mail communication nowadays. There exist several methods that can detect spam and distinguish it from the requested messages. The theoretical part of the masters thesis introduces the ways of detecting unsolicited messages by using artificial immune systems. It presents and subsequently analyses several methods of the artificial immune systems that can assist in the fight against spam. The practical part of the masters thesis deals with the implementation of a spam filter on the basis of the artificial immune systems. The project ends with comparison of effectiveness of the newly designed spam filter and the one which uses common methods for spam detection.
