vi Abstract Title: The physical discomfort mapping in connection with regularly esport activities in younger and older school age. Objectives: The main aim of the diploma is to collect data from young Czech esport players about their physical discomfort in connection with regular practice of esport. Another partial goal is to propose a prevention of injury and a method of motivation for its practice. Methods: Data collection was obtained through a questionnaire survey. The esports players from the capital city of Prague, aged 11-16, from elementary schools and high schools participated. All surveys were anonymous. For a validation of the questionnaire a preliminary survey was compiled. Data from the modified questionnaire were processed using descriptive statistics in MS Excel. Results: 402 respondents, aged 11-16 (13.3 ± 1.269), including 258 males and 144 females, completed a questionnaire survey. The results of the study showed that there is a correlation between musculoskeletal pain and time spent on esports (P=0.0059 at a significance level of alpha = 0.05). More than half of the gamers (53%) regularly interrupt prolonged sitting during gaming sessions and 51% (n=207) of gamers reported being told how to sit. However, 68% (n=207) do not follow this recommendation. Most gamers of both younger and older...

Title: Use of the Pressure Biofeedback Unit to assess m. transversus abdominis activity - a pilot study Aims: The aim of this Master's thesis is to create an extended rating scale to assess the stabilizing ability of the transverse abdominis muscle measured by the Pressure Biofeedback Unit through PRONE test. Another aim of this thesis is to determine whether the extention of the original rating scale designed to evaluate the stabilizing ability of the transverse abdominis muscle measured by the Pressure Biofeedback Unit in the PRONE test will increase sensitivity of this evaluation. Methods: This thesis is a quantitative study, i tis a quasi-experimantal study. A deliberately selected group of young active men n = 40 with a mean age of 25,63  2,61 who suffer from chronic low back pain without a neurological finding for at least 3 months was used for this study. The size of the research sample was determined using statistical power calculation software G*Power. A questionnaire for experts in the field of physiotherapy was used to create a proposal for the extended rating scale. The Fleiss' K and the arithmetic mean were calculated to evaluate the inter-rater agreement and content validity of the individual items in the questionnaire. The measurement itself took place in the premises of Posádkové...

Author: Bc. Pavel Bohatý Title: Comparison of the effects of manual techniques and radial shock waves in the area of the myofascial trigger point. Objectives: The main focus of this thesis is to compare the effect of treatment using radial shock wave and selected manual techniques. Methods: In this diploma thesis, the Wagner FDIX Force digital pressure algometer was first used to evaluate the effectiveness of both experimental methods to examine the pressure pain threshold, then a Visual Analogue Scale for pain and a two-arm goniometer to examine range of motion to the lateroflexion of cervical spine to opposite side from the occurring MTrp. The outcome data was stored in Microsoft Excel 365. Basic descriptive statistic was used for data analysis using mean values, medians, standard deviations, etc. Due to the heterogeneity of input values in both groups, a regression model and nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-test was used. The significance level for statistical tests was set at α = 0.05. Results: A total of 31 probands were involved in the research, of which 16 underwent radial shock wave therapy and 15 using manual techniques. A statistically significant improvement was measured in the group undergoing radial shock wave therapy in the examination of the pressure pain threshold at the 1st session (by...
