Demographic aging housing estate in Prague

This thesis examines demographic aging of housing estate in Prague and residential satisfaction of seniors. In the theoretical part the issue of demographic aging, residential satisfaction and residential stability is elaborated summary of the basis of literature. Empirical part is based on two research methods, which are the data analysis of the age structure of the population census and interviews with seniors living in the housing estate Nové Ďáblice. Two approaches were defined to work with the data, the first one compared the type of settlement development with other parts of Prague, in the second one there were defined individual settlement files with a population of more than 15 000. Carried out the research, it was found that the age structure is equalize and the current demographic situation in the settlements is determined by the period of construction of the housing estate file. Generally speaking, the earlier the settlement was established, the older population it has. In parts focused on the quality of life of older people on the estate were determined using semi-structured interviews satisfaction with the physical environment, social relationships, housing, public spaces, public facilities and services, transportation and security. The Influence of Urban Closed Circuit TV on Crime: a Case Study of Palmovka

This bachelor thesis examines the effectiveness of open street closed circuit television (CCTV) in reducing crime, as installed in Palmovka, Prague. The main aim is to describe and evaluate the effectiveness of CCTV in a place with increased incidence of illegal activity (disturbing public order and the commitment of certain crimes). The theses furthermore evaluates the preventive effect of CCTV devices and their contribution to the detection of illegal activity by police authorities. To obtain the results, a method of semi-structured interviews with local police officers and analysis of police crime data was used. The research showed that after installing CCTV the number of crimes decreased, but the expectations of the general preventive effect were not met. The main merit for the reduction in crime may be attributed to other established security measures. Nevertheless, these systems have proved very helpful in improving investigation of crime and taken records serve as useful evidence in criminal proceedings. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Overview of imaging methods used in dentistry and their availability in Prague

This work tries to compare the availability of intraoral and panoramic X-rays in dental offices in Prague with the situation in the rest of the Czech Republic. With the help of the questionnaire examines in detail the sixty randomly selected dentistry in Prague, whether they are owners of the intraoral or panoramic X-rays in their practice, how many registered patients they have and which technical devices they use are using to diagnose dental caries. The first hypothesis was confirmed. In Prague, on average, are more radiological devices per patient and the imaging methods are more available. The second speculation about the use of bite-wing projection and other methods to diagnose early carious lesions was not confirmed. Of those sixty respondents, only 12 percent of dentists admitted to use this methods.

Simulation of the course of the cultural event

This diploma thesis deals with the question of simulation models. It is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The aim of the opening part, in which the fundamental theory is defined, is to familiarize the readers with the ideas and advantages which simulation models can offer. In its practical part the work already focuses on the particular simulation project which should point out the possibilities of utilization of these models in practice. The subject of this project is the simulation of the course of the cultural event in the O2 Arena stadium. The main goal of this project is creation of the authentic simulation model which would on the basis of the later analysis enable the elimination or optimalization of the predefined major problems that are connected with organizing big cultural events in this arena.

Propagace Krkonoš

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat všechny komunikační aktivity turistického regionu Krkonoše. První kapitola je věnována marketingové komunikaci a propagaci. Obsahuje přehled jednotlivých komunikačních nástrojů a jejich základní charakteristiku. V druhé kapitole jsou vyzdviženy ty komunikační aktivity, které jsou vhodné pro propagaci regionu. Třetí kapitola představuje Krkonoše, jejich geografické vymezení, přírodní podmínky, historický vývoj a správní členění. Čtvrtá kapitola se týká analýzy potenciálu rozvoje cestovního ruchu v Krkonoších. Obsahem páté kapitoly je SWOT analýza Krkonoš. Šestá kapitola je věnována současné propagaci Krkonoš a veškerým současným komunikačním aktivitám turistického regionu Krkonoše. V sedmé kapitole jsou prezentována navrhovaná opatření pro zkvalitnění propagace Krkonoš.
