Kateřina Stará Abstract This Bachelor's thesis consists of my translation of a German text into Czech and scholarly commentary evaluating said translation. The subject text of my translation is a report written by Jonas Lüth in 2020, titled Tschechien und seine Deutschen - was ist geblieben? It talks about the history of Germans in Czechia and how it reflects in the present. The goal of this work was to fulfil a made-up order and provide translation to the Municipal Museum of Ústí nad Labem, specifically for their website advertising an exhibition focused on the same topic. The scholarly commentary consists of translation analysis following Christiane Nord's model, translation method, shifts, and issues I have encountered during my study.

Diploma thesis The Artistic Exhibition in the Post-Industrial Area deals with issues of post-industrial sites and their connection with artistic expositions. The thesis consists of two main parts, theoretical and design. Firstly, the theoretical part defines the main concepts related to the given issue. The following section deals with examples of conversion of such sites in European cities and also cities under the conditions of the Czech Republic. In these examples, the thesis aims to evaluate the process of converting post-industrial sites and the characteristics of their current state. The diploma thesis is looking for a connection with art in these locations. Secondly, the design part of the thesis contains analysis of the primary secondary and tertiary structure of a selected territory and also deals with the broader context in the territory which is crucial in the complex urbanistic conditions of the statutory city of Ostrava. The following part of the thesis deals with the detailed proposal of the locality in Ostrava, near the Lower Vítkovice Area (Dolní Oblast Vítkovice) and Hlubina Mine. The aim of this section is to create an urban park that will respect the Genius Loci, the current content and traffic in the territory. The thesis deals with problems and conflicts in the area and solves them adequately according to the current state of the territory. The proposal also includes artistic objects and creates conditions for the artistic exhibitions. The final chapter discusses and evaluates the possible continuation and connection to the given issue.
Non-financial motivation of employees in healt and social organizations

This thesis deals with non-financial incentives for employees in health and social organizations. For this purpose, is in this paper mentioned the issue of non-financial incentives for employees and its significance. Aim of this thesis is to analyze the role of tools focused on non-financial motivation of employees in social and health organizations and their occurence in Jedlicka institute. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part there is summarized characteristics of health and social organizations and specifics of its financing. It also discusses the issue of human resources in organizations, management and evaluation and its relationship to quality management. Moreover this thesis deals with motivation to work and presents important theories of motivation. The last chapter in the theoretical part is a key chapter of this thesis is dedicated to issues of character of financial and non-financial motivation, employees motivation, incentive rules and tools of motivation. Career prospects after spinal cord injury and preapring them

This paper deals with employment opportunities for people with spinal cord injuries, the problems associated with spinal injuries, and legislation regarding the employment of handicapped individuals. The paper consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the problems associated with spinal cord injuries, defines spinal programmes and ergotherapeutic interventions for spinal patients, deals with the importance of work in people's lives, and describes legislation regarding the employment of the handicapped and ergonomics. The practical part includes a questionnaire designed to outline employment opportunities for individuals with spinal cord injuries, as well as a methodology description that further explains and substantiates the methods used. Data was collected during an internship at Centrum Paraple on 27 June - 28 August 2009. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive look at the employment of handicapped individuals. At the same time, it also prompts further research into these problems.

The aim of the Diploma thesis Lean Management Application was optimize level of stock in manufacturing company KONE Industrial koncern s. r. o. by using of selected techniques of Lean management and proved financial savings in stock by economic analysis. The first part of the study was focused on the main concepts and basic principles used in Lean management. Furthermore, this part dealt with the issue of warehouses and inventories. In the second part ot the thesis was introduced company and current state was analyzed. Chapter Solution proposal of optimization of inventory included suggestions for possible solutions and the economic evaluation of the proposed changes by using knowledge as explained in the first part. The work is finished by summarizing the results of this work, discussions and recommendations.

This bachelor thesis is about international garden festivals. It aims to describe their locations in Europe and also mentions the characteristics of the international festivals in the rest of the world. The next part of the thesis compares the characteristics of each festival and mentions the difference of European International festivals and the festivals in the rest of the world. The bachelor thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part reviews the festivals in Europe, describes similarities and differences with others world events. This section also highlights the similarities with some garden shows. The second section describes the specifics of three proposals, which has been developed as part of this thesis and send to the festivals competition. This part informs about the results and evaluates the selection process and requirements. It focuses on the natural conditions of the habitat and the use of plants and materials. To conclude, it tries to objectively criticise each festival. The third part evaluates the possibilities and challenges of organization of the international garden festival in the Czech Republic. It compares the qualities of the festivals described in the first part and tries to create a combination of positive characteristics, which fits into the Czech environment. Similar festival could enrich Czech environment with new innovative ideas.
