Title of thesis: Benefits and risks of Parkrun The thesis dealt with the Parkrun project, which can be classified as outdoor activity. The aim of the thesis was to assess the health and social benefits and risks of Parkrun. This is a research paper, the main sources of information of which were the electronic database EBSCO and the official website of the Parkrun organization, together with electronic articles and reports about Parkrun. When assessing the health benefits and risks of Parkrun, the thesis reached the following conclusions: Parkrun brings physical health benefits in the form of general improvement and maintenance of physical fitness. In particular, it helps to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood, reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes, and thus represents the prevention of the occurrence of civilization diseases. In addition, it can dampen the symptoms of asthma and help reduce the inflammation of the airways. Risks for physical health can be extreme manifestations of the weather - especially heat or cold. Nordic Walking and Nordic Running
Pokorný, Matyáš ; Hronzová, Marie (advisor) ; Kuhnová, Věra (referee)
The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of Nordic Walking and Nordic Running, which are modern physical activities based on walking and running, therefore the natural motions of humans, however, combined with significant movements of the arms and upper body as a result of the use of sticks. These activities require mastery of proper technique and selection of appropriate equipment, especially shoes and poles. Simultaneous involvement of upper and lower limbs along with the upper part body muscles leads to equal distribution of weight, respectively relieving joints, and to balanced physical training, which is reflected in increased demands on the circulatory and respiratory systems. The research part first examines the difference in heart rate of Nordic Walking and walking without poles. The observed differences are then compared with the results of other studies. According to our research the difference in heart rate is 13%, which is comparable with the results of the referential studies that came to the values of 14-16%. Another area of the research is to identify the maximum speed of Nordic Running and to determine the best time and the highest average speed of Nordic Running over a distance of 100 m. The maximum speed determined in the study is 22.1 km/hr., the best time for the 100 m is 18.0...

The history, reconstruction and use of culture monument (The case study of the auditorium Gymnázium Benešov)
Pokorný, Matyáš ; Heřmanová, Eva (advisor) ; Tyslová, Irena (referee)
Gymnasium Benešov is a very significant educational institucion in the city. Its history is closely linked to the order of piarists, who came into the city in the early of the 18th century. They established a colliage here and started a school teaching. The existence of the order then played a very important part in cultural development of the city and its inhabitants. In 1907 a new neo-renaissance building was constucted for this institucion, because the number of students was ever growing. One part of the new building was a baroque chapel with seccesion wall paintings. During the last century these paintings met a very complicated but remarkable history. The central themes of these paintings were strongly religiously oriented and were therefore in conflict with political power, which came after the Communist revolution in February 1948. So it happened that they were painted over and for several decades disappeared from the world. They disappeared, but were not lost nor completely forgotten, under a layer of white paint they only rested, waiting patiently for the day of their re-discovering. It eventually took place in the reconstruction of the chapel, which was carried out in the school year 2006/2007 on the occasion of the building's centennial celebrations. Let us now together in the footsteps of the reconstruction, let us examine what preceded it, what diffficulties it met and what results it finally brought.
