Product innovation for cyclists in the Šumava National Park

Thanks to its diverse landscape, Šumava National Park is suitable for active tourism. The aim of NP Šumava is to offer quality services to visitors in the area of catering, accommodation and orientation on cycling routes. This bachelor thesis will give readers an insight into the issues of the tourism product for cyclists and subsequent innovations. Furthermore, the reader will learn whether there are differences in the behaviour of the selected target groups.
Leadership in small and medium – sized businesses

The aim of this master´s thesis is to capture and describe the perceptions and opinions of selected entrepreneurs on leadership in small and medium enterprises. In the theoretical part is outlined the development of leadership, its characteristics, styles and approaches. Among the approaches are the Situational leadership II, Transformational leadership, Authentic leadership and Versatile leadership. Using qualitative research through a semi-structured interview and a written survey, the main factors of the selected approaches that are most frequently encountered in the management of the respondents are described, and the use of the given approach relative to the whole sample is then evaluated. In conclusion, this work focuses on the individual assessment of the versatility of the styles of selected entrepreneurs.
Men and women on the position of non-medical staff

This thesis deals with the position of men and women on the position of non-medical staff, namely on the position of general nurse. The aim of this thesis is, through questionnaire survey, to compare the position of men and women working as general nurses. Then, on the basis of gained results and determined hypothesis evaluate, if men are perceived same as women, whether their low number is caused by gender prejudices and if healthcare personnel and the general public want more men on this position. Theoretical part is devoted to gender, history of nursing, education and specification of general nurse's work and position of men and women in health care in the Czech Republic and the world. The research part deals with the analysis and interpretation of results from the questionnaire surveys designed not only for general nurses, but also for the public.
Pilsen European Capital of Culture

This Diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the Pilsen European Capital event. The evaluation is based on three aspects: marketing, visit rate and the attitude of the domestic population. The marketing section is focused on the description of the main marketing tools in terms of their efficiency and application. The visit rate is used to measure the success of the event to a certain extent. The attitude of the domestic population is applied to express the meaning of the Pilsen inhabitant approach and information accessibility while being the European Capital of Culture. The theoretical part describes the wide meaning of marketing management of destination and attitudes towards the event in general. The practical part informs about the European Capital of Culture title and the results of two surveys carried out with the stress on marketing, visit rate and the attitude of the domestic population. The final chapter includes the summary of the conclusions and suggestions for future improvement.
Using CSR to increase the value of the company

The goal of the thesis is to find if and how active corporate social responsibility can increase the value of company together with identification of the most impactful activities in this regard. For this purpose, the thesis is structured into three parts. The first part provides overview of theoretical approaches to the company value with specific focus on Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability and communication. In the second part, initiatives in the area of sustainability in a case company are reviewed. For this purpose, a leader and innovator in the area of CSR has been selected with variety of best practices that have been mapped. Based on the conducted research, the third part summarizes recommendations from both theory, as well as practice on those activities that should be considered by other companies for incorporation.
Work-life Balance and Extended Business Trip

The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to investigate the impacts of extended business trips on the ability of managers to achieve optimal Work-life Balance. The major objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview on the aforementioned issue. In the theoretical part, the concept of Work-Life Balance is defined and set in a broader thematic context. The issue is viewed primarily from the perspective of the needs of the worker. In the context of empirical research, interviews with six foreign managers operating in the Czech Republic were conducted. Subsequently, through a content analysis their respective stories, experiences and interpretations of WLB were sorted into thematic blocks and similarities and differences were described. The conclusion of the study contains several recommendations for the both sides (organizations and workers).
The Strategy of a Business Corporation Development

This bachelor thesis analyses the success of an existing strategy of a chosen business corporation, which deals with the production of personal hygiene products. Strategy means the visions and goals of the corporation, as well as the analysis of the internal and external environment of the company. The strategy effectiveness is assessed on the basic of the identified information. The outcome of the thesis is also a potential proposal of the strategy transformation according to the transition of the internal and external environment of the corporation.
Negative social phenomenons in the workplace

The bachelor thesis deals with conflicts, mobbing, bossing, staffing,sexual harassment and racism in the workplace. The thesis consists of two parts. The first one, theoretical part, explains and clarifies these negative social phenomenons. Its task is to provide comprehensive information concerning the causes, discourses, stages and impact of negative social phenomenons on the individual and organization. In the second part, practical one, there is analysis and summary of survey that has been done among pedagogues in three primary schools. The objective of this part is to find out the appearance of negative social phenomenons described in the teoretical part in the school workplaces.
Effect of the Erasmus Exchange Programme on Psychological and Professional Development of Students

The theoretical part of this Bachelor's Thesis defines the basic terms of motivation of students to travel abroad, culture, acculturation and a potential culture shock. Besides that, this part looks into the options of studying abroad, now available to students, and analyses the evolution of students' and empoyees' mobility. The second part is practical part, focused on the practical application of theoretical knowledge and verifying its validity with the help of a research sample which consists of one hundred students who are studying at two main universities in the Czech republic and are participating in the Erasmus Programme of Student Exchange in the academic year 2013/2014. The chosen research method is the secondary data analysis based on the technique of a systematic probability sampling. The main objective of this study is to analyse and compare motivations and benefits of such journeys, and to examine the quality of assistance provided to the students during their stay abroad and the level of their integration into the foreign environment.
Men on Parental Leave

The bachelor thesis focuses on the phenomenon of men on parental leave. The theoretical part deals with the role of mothers and predominantly fathers in families, their development and changes. Furthermore, the thesis monitors the factors that form these roles and is concerned with the most typical stereotypes in this area. The paper is further focused on the legislation of maternity and parental leave, and puts it in the context of the countries of the European Union. These findings are followed supported by the practical part, which, with the help of the semi structured questionnaire, aims at revealing the real reasons why fathers go on parental leave, as well as at mapping the problems they mostly encounter. Finally, the work looks into the way this new trend is accepted by society, from the fathers' point of view.
