Random operators for modeling time series of counts
Lahodová, Kateřina ; Prášková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Lachout, Petr (referee)
In the thesis the thinning operators used for modeling of time series of counts are studied. The main properties of binomial, generalised, random coefficient, hyper- geometric and generalised binomial thinning operators are listed and proved. The comparison of these operators is also described. The use of binomial thinning for mo- deling INAR(1), binomial AR(1) and semi INAR(1) models is shown. The parameters of these models are estimated and also tested on a few simulations.
Gallery MXM
Lahodová, Kateřina ; Klimešová, Marie (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Ludvík (referee)
The work offers an analysis of the MXM gallery, located in Prague. It was one of the first private galleries to appear after the Velvet Revolution in 1989. In the post-communism atmosphere of the 1990s it experienced a great "boom" and quickly grew to become a significant institution and one of the most important private galleries in the city. The introductory chapter offers an overview and comparison with other private galleries that originated in the Czech Republic just after the revolution, followed by a brief historical background of the establishment and functioning of the MXM gallery. Attention is paid to the important personalities who shaped the artistic program and the theoretical background of the gallery, both being critically important. Asignificant part of the presented work is devoted to selected artists, who are mainly represented through their individual exhibitions. Since MXM activities extend beyond its own exhibition area, on Kampa, this text also investigates MXM activities at other locations in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. The gallery devoted substantial energy to establishing foreign contacts, which allowed it to present the works ofvarious authors from many countries. The last chapter describes the sale of art work and the art collectors associated with MXM. The...
Regularization and variable selection in regression models
Lahodová, Kateřina ; Komárek, Arnošt (advisor) ; Maciak, Matúš (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on regularization and variable selection in regres- sion models. Basics of penalised likelihood, generalized linear models and their evaluation and comparison based on prediction quality and variable selection are described. Methods called LASSO and LARS for variable selection in normal linear regression are briefly introduced. The main topic of this thesis is method called Boosting. General Boosting algorithm is introduced including functional gradient descent, followed by selection of base procedure, especially the componentwise linear least squares method. Two specific application of general Boosting algorithm are introduced with derivation of some important characteristics. These methods are AdaBoost for data with conditional binomial distribution and L2Boosting for condi- tional normal distribution. As a final point a simulation study comparing LASSO, LARS and L2Boosting methods was conducted. It is shown that methods LASSO and LARS are more suitable for variable selection whereas L2Boosting is more fitting for new data prediction.

Alén Diviš and Karel Jaromír Erben's Kytice
Lahodová, Kateřina ; Klimešová, Marie (advisor) ; Skálová, Vanda (referee)
This thesis deals with illustratons to Kytice ballads by Karel Jaromír Erben. It is divided into two parts. The first section is focused on relations of the illustrations and the collection of poems as well as the historical context and the context of other painter's works. I try to point out that Diviš'es illustrations do not represent a new artistic stage but a synthesis of his previous works from the forties. In adition, the illustrations are closely connected with the artist's own destiny. In the other section of my thesis I analyse individual illustrations from the point of view of their different technics and motives. Another aspect follows relations between the illustrations and contents of respective individual poems. To sum up, the thesis aims to introduce Diviš'es unique collection of illustrations as an existential message of an artis stricken by his fate; that goes beyond ordinary illustrations for the ballads of the gratest Czech romantic poet. Accounting of Allowance Organizations on example Emergency Medical Service of Liberec (EMSL)
Batelková, Petra ; Svoboda, Michal (advisor) ; Lahodová, Kateřina (referee)
This Bachelor Thesis deals with accounting of Allowance Organizations. In order to get a better understanding of the matter, there is a particular example of how Emergency Medical Service of Liberec (EMSL) manages its accounting. The work consists of two parts. The theoretical part introduces allowance organizations in general -- their activities, administration, accounting and accounting methods. The practical part focuses on Emergency Medical Service of Liberec. There is an EMSL internal directive analyzed here. The work pays attention to accounting of EMSL, in addition to that, a financial analysis is created eventually.
