Sukcese vegetačního krytu na odvalu Koksovny Svoboda v Ostravě
Jaroš, Jakub
This bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of succession on muck stack coking plant Svoboda in Ostrava since the last research carried by Koutecký (2004) and the proposal of framework of care for similar locations. For this purpose has been made 39 phytocenological relevés where were found 177 species of vascular plants. The loss of available light and heat and increase of humidity, accesible nutrients in soil, and pH, which was attributed primarily to ongoing succession, has been detected through analysis of data files. For the purposes of recovery of similar sites have been proposed the maximum possible usage of spontaneous succession.
Analysis of the accessibility of health care in Czechia
Vaněk, David ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with spatial accessibility of outpatient health care in Czechia using network analysis in GIS. Two health insurance companies are involved in the analysis: Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna and Revírní bratrská pokladna. As examples, four different health services were chosen (urology, hemodialysis, nephrology and cardiac surgery). Then, time accessibility was calculated and service areas for health care facilities were generated in ArcGIS. Traveling by car was used as a traffic mode. Time accessibility was compared with the limits established by law. For resultant underserved areas, their shares of total area and population of Czechia were computed. The results are presented by tables and maps, which are in the appendix of this work. The substantial differences among accessibility of health care providers and between both health insurance companies were found out.
Proposal for a cartographic visualization of data in the planning analytical documents
Prokopec, Karel ; Žáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to propose a correct cartographic visualization of data contained in the planning analytical documents and to implement of the proposed solution to sample of municipalities with extended competence. First part of this thesis includes significance, purpose and structure of planning analytical documents and data which are presented in the form of cartographic outputs. This part is followed by interpretation of recommended methods and the concept of Thematic Cartography. The last part of the thesis includes proposal of exemplary cartographic outputs that should be part of the planning analytical documents, including design map key and map layout.
Proposal of map atlas for extreme whitewater canoeing
Stramová, Andrea ; Jaroš, Jakub (advisor) ; Bačo, Antonín (referee)
Proposal of the map atlas for extreme whitewater canoeing Abstract Topic of the bachelor's thesis is creation of thematic maps and also creation of map's atlas for extreme canoeing. The first step was creation of river's maps appropriate for canoeing. The second step was creation of character key for this application. The next step was a concept for the atlas. I have choosed most appropriate score to creation of river's maps. The next part of the bachelor's thesis is about two questionnaires for needed data. An area was choosed to creation of maps. A data and a design rules you can find in the practical part. You can see detail for the creation of maps and character key. The bachelor's thesis is about concept of maps and about key for this one and also creation of the atlas to print. You can see also a proposal for this atlas. Key words: tematic map, score of maps, blanks, extreme canoeing, creation of maps
Cartographic and geoinformatic evaluation of current bathymetric maps.
Kučera, Michal ; Jaroš, Jakub (advisor) ; Žáková, Zuzana (referee)
Cartographic and geoinformatic evaluation of current bathymetric maps Abstract This thesis is focusing on methods used in the process of creating bathymetric maps of lakes. In the first part of the thesis are described methods used for shoreline mapping and possibilities of depth measurements. In the theoretical part are also described interpolation methods which could be applied on point datasets. At first is given general description of these methods and after that follows also the detailed description of these methods in ArcGIS. Next part of the thesis describes cartographic methods used in bathymetry and in this part are also evaluated current bathymetric maps. The main discussion in this part is regarding cartographic and geoinformatic methods used in the process of creation these maps. In the last part is suggested a new attitude in this process and there are also created bathymetric maps using new combination of cartographic methods. These maps are enclosed at the end of the thesis. Key words: bathymetry, map, gis, cartography, interpolation
Modelling of subterranean features in GIS: case study of Amerika quarries
Kutišová, Tereza ; Lysák, Jakub (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
Modelling of subterranean features in GIS: case study of Amerika quarries Abstract Goal of this bachelor thesis is to create description of modelling methodology of subterranean features by using geoinformation systems. Modeling concerns locations of quarries called Amerika in Český kras. There is system of mine drifts and adits, which is relict of limestone mining in this area. Main task in the work was to creat 3D model of underground drifts and tunnels. During the creation were collected data about this location, those were described in detail, and evaluated for suitability in model creation. Created model was used in another output: Thematic map, which is describing state of surface and subsurface at the same time. Key words: subterranean features, 3D GIS, modelling, Amerika quarries (Czech Karst)

Brabec, Jiří ; Šára, Pavel (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
Atlas of canoeing marathon Budweis - Prague Abstract The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create an atlas of canoeing marathon Budweis - Prague. The text of thesis then provides a description of making process, including a literature review. The partial goal of this work is to create cartographic point features of boating and nautical themes. The work also includes a description of the Vltava River, history of its navigability and the history of the race Budweis - Prague. Visualization of the change of the Arctic glaciation using thematic cartographic technique
Havelka, Ondřej ; Žáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
Ways of cartographic visualization of artic glaciation changes by using methods of thematic cartography Abstract The aim of this thesis is to make a research of available geographic data relates to the development of glaciation of the Artic and also to assess the suitability of selected methods of thematic cartography to represent geographical phenomenon: change of glaciation in time. The first part is devoted to detailed research of the available databases produced by foreign research organizations. This part is followed by research of Czech and foreign literature which is focused on cartographic visualization and methods of thematic cartography suitable for expression of dynamics phenomenon. In the conclusion are shown the ways of proper choice of data with relevant cartographic method, illustrated on the attached maps. Keyword: geographic data, thematic cartography methods, glaciation changes
Analysis of data sources for production of large-scale map of a small municipality
Fenclová, Karolína ; Lysák, Jakub (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
Analysis of data sources for production of large-scale map of a small municipality Abstract The aim of this thesis is to acquire, evaluate and eventually adjust the available spatial data, which are suitable for production of large-scale maps. The main task is to collect the data, describe them and identify their strengths and weaknesses. Attention is focused on datasets covering the territory of Bohemia. The practical part of this thesis covers the municipality of Tetín in the district of Beroun. It is a complex work, which is composed of an evaluation of the existing cartographic production, designing a suitable symbology and a production of a first detailed map of the municipality. The first part of this thesis evaluates the already existing cartographic production, using the method of verbal non-quantified assessment with a focus on the content of the map. The next part describes various data sets, their origin and accuracy. In cases of datasets collisions there is a suggestion of a solution presented for each case. The main result of this thesis is a clear overview of a preparation of all the data in GIS, a list of weaknesses and errors which were encountered in the data, a creation of a new hypsography and an update of the spatial data for the municipality of Tetín. The created map is the first...
