Jandáčková, Kateřina ; Šporclová, Veronika (advisor) ; Draberová, Jana (referee)
The master thesis focuses on the topic of support for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders in the development of daily living skills according to the principles of Applied behavior analysis. In the literature review the theoretical background of the topic and current research findings based on the literature are described. The empirical part is conceived as a qualitative research. The goal is to monitor the change in the behavior of parents and their children with ASD when practicing hand washing after using two different ways of parent training - behavioral skills training and video manual. The method of data collection was an observation of video recordings provided by families which were assessed by two observers using an evaluation checklist. Furthermore, the data were supplemented with information from a questionnaire which was used to receive feedback from the participants. The results of the research map the progress of each participating parent and child in hand washing procedure according to the principles of ABA. The conclusions can be the foundation for future research to create a suitable parent training model in practice of daily living skills in children with ASD. Jandáčková, Kateřina ; ADÁMEK, Jiří (advisor) ; KLÍMA, Miloslav (referee)
Kateřina Jandáčková in her diploma thesis THE LIFE OF IMPULSES, The Hidden Role of Coincidence and Intuition in a Creative Process examinates the phenomenon of intuition through her own experience. She percieves intuition as something that helps her to capture and to preserve all the external and internal random impulses that originate during collecting of material and searching for a theme for prepared production, or during rehearsals. Each chapter has a title of one of her own seven productions. In those chapters the author of this thesis reflects her previous knowledge and conclusions. Also she reflects certain problems conected with this theme that she dealt with during rehearsals. In the end she finds common thematic link that connects all her productions up to date and which also responds with her social opinion.
Connection between sleep deprivation and chronotype of adolescents
Jandáčková, Kateřina ; Niederlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Šperlová, Martina (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issues of sleep deprivation and chronotype during the stage of adolescence. The first part of the thesis deals with sleep and sleep deprivation. Several findings demonstrate the negative effects of a lack of sleep on somatic and mental health. It affects function of cognitive processes, emotional regulation. Furthermore, the risk of cardiovascular diseases increases. One of the most endangered stage are adolescents. Next, the different circadian types (or chronotypes) are described. The time of day that suits the best an individual for physical and cognitive activity, as well as their peak of performance, is determined by the circadian type. During the period of adolescence, young adults experience a peak in eveningness in contrast to morningness. They tend to fall asleep later at night and sleep in longer in the morning. Investigations indicate that evening-oriented students obtain worse results at school. The suggestion of this research project is focused on comparing both chronotype with the presence of sleep deprivation in adolescents. The circadian type will be diagnosed by the Composite scale of morningness. Sleep deprivation will be measured by the inventory SD-38 which has been designed for the need of this current study.
